Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid exited Saturday’s game, the last of the season, after crashing into the net. He stayed down on the ice for several minutes talking to the trainer before being helped off the ice.
At one point McDavid was seen mouthing that he thought his leg was broken. A disappointing ending to another disappointing season for the Oilers.

After the game the Oilers announced that x-rays on McDavid’s left leg were negative and that he would have an MRI to confirm that there is no broken bones.

Maybe this little bit of good news is the start of something the Oilers can build on for next season. Or maybe they will just continue down the current path to be a huge disappointment to their fans.
