Ohio State interim head coach Ryan Day said that during last Saturday’s win over TCU that he thought a player had been shot. His confusing came on a trick play the Horned Frogs ran on a kickoff return.
On the play one of TCU’s players laid down in the end zone. Day said he heard “there’s a man down in the end zone” come over the headset and immediately thought someone had been shot.
In reference to the kickoff return where TCU's Jalen Reagor laid down in the end zone and KaVontae Turpin threw the ball to him, Urban Meyer said Ryan Day heard over the headset that "there's a man down in the end zone" and misinterpreted. "He thought someone got shot."

That’s an odd place to think someone got shot. It’s also odd that the first thing that popped in Day’s head when he heard there was a man down in the end zone is that someone had been shot. He must have seen some things in his day.
