I’m not sure if the 49ers are in on Beckham Jr., but Shanahan has been chasing him for years, so it’s naive to think the Niners aren’t sniffing around. I think most 49ers fans are split on this. Half think OBJ is a locker room cancer and not worth it. The other half is siding with his talent and believe Shanahan can maximize OBJ. I think it’s unfair to call him a “locker room cancer” because Beckham Jr. had, not has, had, emotional outbreaks with the Giants. You didn’t really see that with the Browns. There were tantrums here and there, but that’s no different than Stefon Diggs, or the majority of star receivers out there.
There might be some mutual interest from OBJ. Don’t forget he told Jimmy Garoppolo to come get him after a game last season.
