The Eagles announced last week that they weren’t going to franchise tag Nick Foles and were going to let him become a free agent.
According to Philly.com, the Jaguars are the only team that has shown interest in the Super Bowl MVP and are expected to sign him.
The only Eagles quarterback to ever win a Super Bowl is bound for Jacksonville when NFL free agency opens March 13, according to NFL sources with knowledge of the situation.
A market for Nick Foles outside of Jacksonville has not developed, and though nothing is certain until it is official, the Jaguars absolutely expect to sign Foles, sources said.
It’s a little bit surprising that Jacksonville is the only team interested in signing Foles. There isn’t a shortage of teams that are in need of a quality starting quarterback, but apparently there is a shortage of teams who want a Super Bowl MVP under center.
