Just when you thought the record NFL contracts were finished being handed out. The Chicago Bears pulled off a trade on Saturday for Khalil Mack and did what the Raiders were unwilling to do, made him the highest paid defensive player in the history of the NFL.
The deal is 6 year extension worth $141 million and $90 million guaranteed. That’s a pretty good payday.
Khalil Mack and the Bears just reached agreeement on a record-setting 6-year, $141 million extension ($23.5M per year avg) that includes $90M guaranteed and $60M at signing, source tells ESPN.

The deal came one day after the Rams made Aaron Donald the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. It also wraps up a week of record deals with both Aaron Rodgers and Odell Beckham Jr. landing record deals.
The NFL continues to throw some of the cash they’re raking in to the players. That’s only a good thing for the players.
