NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana’s name showed up on a list of rich and powerful people linked to a college admissions scandal.
The scandal surrounds admissions counselor, William Singer, who recently plead guilty to four charges in connection with helping students gain fraudulent admission into college.
Despite his name appearing as one of Singer’s client, Montana denies any wrongdoing and says his kids got into the colleges of their choice based on merit alone.
Mr. Singer's company provided nothing more than minimal consulting services to our family, like so many other families, with the college application process. Fortunately our kids were able to pick from a number of schools to attend due to their hard work and their merit.

Not Cool Joe. It’s bad enough Aunt Becky got caught up in this. We don’t need the second greatest quarterback of all-time going down for it too.
We’re going to choose to believe Montana was the only one of Singer’s clients, so far, who didn’t use the services for fraudulent entry into college.
