Carolina signed Teddy Bridgewater as the likely new starter under Matt Rhule, but XFL superstar PJ Walker plans to brings some competition. Speaking Tuesday afternoon on NFL Live, Walker reacted to the news regarding Newton’s expected release with the Panthers.
“It does (come as a surprise) but then again it doesn’t with the situation that’s going on with us signing Teddy (Bridgewater) as well,” Walker said. “I’m looking forward to seeing where Cam goes and I wish the best for him.”
The Panthers quarterback room is completely different from a year ago. The hope is the results will be completely different too.
