Free agent designated hitter Nelson Cruz has agreed to a one-year deal with the Minnesota Twins for $14.3 million. The deal includes a $12 million team option for 2020.
Nelson Cruz’s deal with the Minnesota Twins is Worth $14 million guaranteed in the first year, source tells Yahoo Sports. There is a $12 million club option with a $300K buyout. My main man @Enrique_Rojas1 had the financials first.

The 38-year-old hit .256 with 37 home runs in 144 games last season for the Seattle Mariners. With those kinds of numbers you would think Nelson would have had more interest, even at his age.
Our guess is that he has no interest in playing on a winner.
