NBC cut into their Olympics broadcast last night to go live to the scene of a car chase in Los Angeles, but this car chase wasn’t your run of the mill snooze-fest, it was a really awesome car chase, so there’s that.
One of the wildest endings to an LA police chase we've ever seen … suspect with at least 4 GTA stars t-bones taxi then goes into the train tunnel and disappears with the ninja turtles. pic.twitter.com/jjCz5QlAAw

I was watching the olympics while finishing Book of Doom and they went to breaking news to a car chase and now I can't concentrate, but I can't stop watching because THIS MAN WENT DROVE ONTO TRAIN TRACKS.

Update from LA: olympics coverage got interrupted by a car chase where a dude smashed into a taxi then sped down the train tracks into a tunnel. He’s still down there we think

The viewers watching were immediately gripped with emotion, as the car chase became must see TV. Quickly people forgot they were watching the Olympics.

Was about to say it seems like people who drive in high-speed LA pursuits don’t ever seem to be enthusiasts much less connoisseurs of the genre but then this guy pulled the train tracks move and it’s like we’ve got a car chase PTA.

Bizarre pursuit. Stolen truck suspect drives into TRAIN tunnel in East LA. Metro train, Gold Line. One train slowly came in, and another came out. Hhmmmm. #Fox11News pic.twitter.com/HsKjqoxKBM

More people at LAX watching the car chase TV than The Olympics TV.

Give that dude who stole the car a Gold Medal for effort. Real life Grand Theft Auto is the most exciting thing on television, sorry Olympics, but it’s true.
