News broke Wednesday morning that the Raptors and Spurs had agreed on a trade for Kawhi Leonard. Toronto will be sending DeMar DeRozan to San Antonio as part of the deal.
Toronto has reached agreement in principle to acquire San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard for package that includes DeMar DeRozan, league sources tell ESPN. Trade is larger on both sides, and players are still being informed of their inclusion in the deal. Trade call with league today.

For now, only DeRozan has been informed that he's in the trade, league sources tell ESPN. Toronto president Masai Ujiri informed DeRozan overnight, sources said. https://t.co/fghY7eTCWR

This is an insane move by the Raptors for a guy that will essentially be will them for a year. There’s no way he’s going to sign extension with the Raptors.
Leonard has reportedly made it clear he wants to be a Laker. So he’s going to play out or maybe sit out next season and take his talents to Los Angeles.
