Milwaukee Bucks are still the side with the best score in the league as they’ve suffered only four defeats in the campaign. They failed to win just once in the last 22 games, while their fans are enjoying a streak of three straight wins. Led by the latest regular season’s MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks are marching towards the top spot in the Eastern Conference in the build-up of the playoffs. The Greek Freak managed to improve his three-point percentage which is currently around 35%, and it is almost 10% better in comparison to the previous season. He scores 31 points per game on average, 3.3 points more than in the latest campaign while spending almost two minutes less per match. Milwaukee could become one of the major factors in the playoffs if their best player keeps up the form.

Houston Rockets managed to win five times in their last six matches, and they have been led by James Harden and Russel Westbrook. While Brodie’s numbers are around his career average, the Beard scores almost 40 points per match although his field goal percentage is around 45%. One of the best shooting guards in the league is the leading player of the Rockets, and they can be considered as one of the contenders in the title battle. Houston Rockets are sitting on the 3rd place in the Western Conference, however, they need to keep up with good performances and keep the distance from LA Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, and Utah Jazz. On the other hand, they are just one win away from the 2nd placed Denver Nuggets. One thing is for sure, we should keep an eye on the Rockets who can play a major role in the final battles.

Los Angeles Lakers have been the best team in NBA until recently since they have tied three defeats in a row. Their winning streak which lasted for seven games came to an end and the Lakers should try to get back on winning track. LeBron James and Anthony Davies are driving the Lakers forward by averaging 25+ points per game. Both players have around 50% of their field goals and they are the main attacking force of the team. LA Lakers are still sitting on the top of the Western Conference with two wins ahead of the Nuggets, but they need to break their poor run. That won’t be very easy as their city rivals, the Clippers, will stand on their way. Despite their poor form, the Lakers will be one of the main title challengers this season.

After a couple of poor displays, Denver Nuggets are back on their winning ways and they are currently enjoying a streak of five victories in a row. With just eight defeats during the current campaign, they are the second-best side in the Western Conference. Their defense is also the second-best in the entire league, while Nikola Jokic averages a double-double in points per game and total rebounds. His totals are a bit better than career average, however, his percentages are 2-5% lower. One of the best centers in the league is also booking a high number of assists, which is not very usual for this position, but in Jokic’s case, we got used to it and this became pretty natural. The Nuggets have the chance to continue their good streak since their schedule is pretty favorable for them in the upcoming rounds. They are another side that could go far in this season’s playoffs.

The run of five wins in a row saw Toronto Raptors climbing on the 3rd spot in the Eastern Conference. They have improved their game lately, however, four of those five matches they’ve played in front of the home crowd. The Raptors are just one win behind Boston Celtics, which also managed to break their run of defeats and get back on winning track. Pascal Siakam is putting very good performances and the numbers are speaking in the favor of that claim. He is scoring 25 points per game on average, while he also started getting more minutes per match as well. This excellent power forward also improved his stats regarding a total number of rebounds, and he is pretty close to a double-double. His three-points percentage is almost 40%, and Siakam managed to continue improving these numbers which got significantly increased last season. Although they are not among the top favorites for completing the season as the winners, they proved the bookies wrong in the latest campaign.

As we can see, there is a number of teams that can challenge the title and we can’t playoffs to start. Although we are still not on the halfway of the regular season, a lot of excitement is ahead of us.
