The NBA All-Star Game will revert back to the original Eastern Conference versus Western Conference format for the upcoming exhibition in Indianapolis, the league announced Wednesday.
The switch eliminates the draft element where team captains of each squad selected their rosters, which was in place for six seasons. The game will also go back to being played in four traditional, 12-minute quarters without a target score.
The voting process that selects 12 players from each conference will stay the same.
The exhibition is set for Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers. It will be the 73rd All-Star Game in NBA history.
