Nashville Predators center Ryan Johansen earned himself a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety after he lumberjack chopped Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele with his stick.
The dirty move left Scheifele face down on the ice, but able to remain in the game (hockey guys are a different breed).
This is an ugly lumberjack swing from #Preds Ryan Johansen on the head of #GoJetsGo Mark Scheifele and he should be suspended #HockeyTwitter @NHLPlayerSafety pic.twitter.com/GC0e0oO099

The NHL will certainly suspend Johansen for this move and likely into the double digits as far as games suspended are concerned. The league certainly doesn’t want the players to be hitting each other over the head with their stick.
