Garrett missed an opportunity to set the record straight.  He instead chose to take the path of no return.

It’s hard to believe Garrett would have waited a week before accusing Rudolph of using a racial slur, if he had in fact used one. 

The fact that no one else heard the alleged slur is also working against him.
