Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts has decided to skip the Red Sox White Hose visit, now scheduled for may.
The American League MVP told The Boston Globe at the awards dinner where he accepted his MVP Award.
Betts didn’t give a reason, but we’re going to go out on a limb and say he’s not a fan of President Trump.

“I won’t be going there,” Betts told The Boston Globe at the Baseball Writers Association of America awards dinner in New York. “I decided not to.”
Betts, who accepted his American League MVP award at the dinner, didn’t elaborate on why he decided not to visit the White House when the Red Sox are honored by President Donald Trump for their World Series championship.
Thankfully Betts decided not to. I was a little worried that there were no woke folks on the Red Sox.
We need the White House visit to be some sort of political statement. We can’t have athletes showing up for the visit just for the sake of the visit.
No way, we need it turned into some sort of approval or disapproval process for the current President.
