The MLB has suspended Braves pitcher Kevin Gausman for five games for throwing behind Marlins pitcher Jose Urena. As if ejecting him from the game for throwing a pitch behind a hitter wasn’t enough.

Gausman, who is scheduled to pitch on Monday night, is appealing the suspension. As he should be. Suspending a pitcher for throwing a pitch behind a hitter is absolutely ridiculous.
Do you see what adding extra netting to stadiums has done to the game of baseball? The soft move has spread like a disease into other aspects.
You can’t throw a baseball behind someone without facing a five game suspension.
