Superstar outfielder Mike Trout is signed through the 2020 season with the Angels. The team would reportedly like to sign the 27-year-old to an extension this winter.
The rumors are that Trout is unlikely to sign an extension to stay with The Angels. On top of that, the Phillies are planning to make a run at him if he becomes a free agent.
Regardless who they sign this winter, phillies will make a big play for mike trout in 2 years — provided he hasn’t signed an extension, of course. #LAAngels will try to extend Trout this winter, but while he likes it there, the whispers are that an extension now is unlikely.

It’s about time Trout came to the realization that his talents are being wasted out west. The Angels will never put enough talent around him to win anything.
The Phillies, on the other hand, are trying to load up with talent to match with the young talent on the roster.
