Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera thought about stretching a single into a double, but ended up tripping over the first base bag.  The soon to be 35 year old didn’t feel a hundred percent when he returned to first base.

Cabrera would leave the game with what the Tigers are calling hip flexor tightness.  The days of attempting to take the extra bag are behind him.

Miggy needs to stick to homeruns and long singles.  Trying is for the guys who aren’t banking $30 million a season.
