During Monday night’s Tigers-Indians game, first baseman Miguel Cabrera was caught on camera giving Jason Kipnis a cup check.  

Not exactly what the cameraman expected to see when he checked in on the runner at first.  Then again you never really know what to expect during a baseball game.  

What an interesting way to greet baserunners.  From the looks of Kipnis’ reaction it appears as if he wasn’t wearing a cup.

The rest of the league has now been warned.  Wear your cup against the Tigers or protect yourself in other ways from a potential Miggy cup check.
