Michigan State definitely doesn’t want to see quarterback Brian Lewerke take too many unnecessary shots. Especially not during one of their cupcake games at the beginning of the season.
That’s exactly what happened on Friday night against Tulsa when Brandon Johnson laid out Lewerke with a late hit out of bounds.
Johnson was on a mission and was flagged for holding on the same play.
