Earlier in the week it was reported that there would be several changes coming to ESPN’s NBA Countdown next season. The report was that Michelle Beadle, Chauncey Billups and Paul Pierce would all be replaced.
The report even stated that Maria Taylor may take over as host.

The claims that Beadle will not be back are not true, according to Beadle herself. She responded to a tweet by a Barstool Sports blogger and said she will in fact be back on NBA Countdown next season.
The tweet:
Somebody gotta check on Michelle Beedle for me pic.twitter.com/eHMuoLuPO5

Beadle’s response:
Right here, pumpkin. Enjoying vacation. And also…if you live on the internet, I’d hope you’d be more current. Anyways. See y’all next season on Countdown! 💋

It it worth noting that she didn’t indicate in her response whether or not Billups and Pierce would also be returning. Which makes a ton of sense.
The reports of her departure from NBA Countdown were a little puzzling to me, why would they get rid of the best person on the show? Billups and especially Pierce will not be missed.
