A grand jury indicted Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett on Friday for the felony charge of injury of the elderly. The incident took place when he allegedly shoved a 66 year old paraplegic woman at NRG stadium during Super Bowl LII.
Bennett was forcing his way onto the field after the Super Bowl when he shoved the woman. His new team, the Philadelphia Eagles, released a statement on the situation.
This is far from a good look for the 6’4″ 275 lbs professional football player. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether or not Bennett keeps his job afterwards.
