Holdout running back Melvin Gordon will not receive a new contract from the Chargers this season. The team informed him that they will revisit contract talks after the season.
Via ESPN:
“When or if Melvin reports, he’ll play this season under his current contract, and we’ll just revisit it after the season,” Telesco said.
The Chargers have granted Gordon permission to seek a trade and that now seems like his only path to playing next season.
On Sunday Gordon seemed to indicate which teams he would prefer to be traded to by following four teams on Instagram.
