NFL Pro Bowl running back, Melvin Gordon of the Los Angeles Chargers, recently found he had some extra time on his hands during his holdout from the team.
Fortunately, fate smiled upon him and an unexpected opportunity presented itself while shopping at a Lids store.
Melvin had already discovered a number of caps that he liked, but it was the “Join Our Team” sign on the counter that really caught his eye.

Then, after filling out an application, he was ready to trade in his jersey, helmet and shoulder pads for a t-shirt, lanyard and upside-down visor.
