The sudden death of 27-year-old pitcher Tyler Skaggs on Monday in Texas shocked the baseball world, especially his Angels teammates. The cause of death isn’t immediately known, although foul play and suicide don’t appear to have been causes.
The medical examiner is withholding the autopsy information at the request of the family, who wants to wait until the final examination is performed. That is expected to take until October to complete.

We aren’t going to speculate as to why the family would want to wait until October for the final autopsy report. There will probably be plenty of that going around.
