PETA sent a tweet to the Georgia athletic department telling them to retire their live mascot Uga after video of him keeping dry in his doghouse was posted on Twitter by CBS Sports.
The animals rights organization claimed that Uga looked miserable and that “No dog deserves to be packed up, carted from state to state, and paraded in front of a stadium full of screaming fans.”
Chiefs rookie receiver and former Georgia star Mecole Hardman responded to PETA’s by telling them to delete their tweet.
