With the NBA Finals now officially in the rear view mirror, it’s now time to keep tabs on all the free agent activity. According to a report Kyrie Irving may already be on the move.
In the article, Bulpett cites some sources close to Kyrie who say he is “prepared to sign” with Brooklyn.
One source around the league was told that Irving would be signing with the Nets and that other teams have been told that this is the case.
Via Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald:
According to a source with ties to Roc Nation, the organization expected to become Irving’s new representative, the All-Star point guard is prepared to sign with the Brooklyn Nets when he becomes a free agent next month. A separate league source told the Herald that his team (not the Celtics) has received the same information and is operating under the belief that Irving wants to join the Nets.
One source around the league was told that Irving would be signing with the Nets and that other teams have been told that this is the case.
Word is that the Celtic had not been given any definitive indication from Irving as of Thursday afternoon.
But that will probably happen soon enough.
