Matthew Stafford Reportedly Has Fractured Bones in His Back and Will Not Play on Sunday

Lions’ QB Matthew Stafford has fractured bones in his back and doctors will not let him play today vs. Bears, per source. Jeff Driskell starts for Detroit.

Talk about a tough guy.  If the doctors wouldn’t clear Stafford, it sounds like he wanted to play. 

Sometimes the doctors have to step in and save the player from themselves.  This sounds like one of those times.

It’s probably a good call.  The Bears offense sucks, but their defense is still very good.  One big shot from Khalil Mack and his back might turn into powder.
