One of the most surprising picks of the entire draft came when the Packers traded up in the first-round to draft Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. The team has a clear need at receiver that could have been addressed with that pick.
It puts Aaron Rodgers’ future in Green Bay in question. The Packers are the same franchise who pulled a similar move when they drafted Rodgers with a future Hall of Famer in Brett Favre already on the roster.
Rodgers still has several years left on his contract and hasn’t talked about retiring at all. Head coach Matt LaFleur commented on the 36-year-old’s future in Green Bay.
