A couple of Miami Marlins fans we’re spotted at Thursday’s opening day with paper bags on their heads. They aren’t waiting around until they lose 100 games this season.
Marlins fans are unhappy with the team’s off-season moves, which including sending their best player to the Yankees for almost nothing. Fans realistically could have worn the bags on their heads for the past few seasons, because they weren’t winning with the players they traded away.
This year is going to be a long one. It’s clear that they don’t have a chance. The Marlins lost the opener to the Chicago Cubs 8-4.
If you’re going to field a crappy team, there isn’t a better place to do so. The fans will at least be able to enjoy plenty of sunshine, beautiful people and nightlife.
