The Red Sox broadcast booth was a little salty on Sunday as Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman shut down Boston’s lineup. At one point they discussed Stroman’s celebrations on the mound.
Former pitcher and current member of the Red Sox broadcast team, Dennis Eckersley, called Stroman’s celebrations, “tired.”
That's not Dennis Eckersley calling Stroman's celebrations "tired," is it?
"He was aggressive and animated on the mound, and he was known for his intimidating stare and pumping his fist after a strikeout. "https://t.co/Cu6cA6k49A

After the game, Stroman caught wind of Eckersley’s criticism and fired back at him by saying, “his comments are always trash.”
His comments are always trash. 🤷🏾♂️

Maybe a little hypocritical on Eckersley’s part…

The Red Sox booth just didn’t like that Stroman was shutting them out at the time of the comments. You can’t be okay with bat flips and upset with pitchers who celebrate.
