There will be one less out of control European basketball player on the floor in the NBA next season. That’s because 41 year olf Spurs legend Manu Ginobili has decided to retire.
Ginobili, who won four NBA championships in 16 seasons with the Spurs, made the announcement on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Today, with a wide range of feelings, I'm announcing my retirement from basketball. IMMENSE GRATITUDE to everyone (family, friends, teammates, coaches, staff, fans) involved in my life in the last 23 years. It's been a fabulous journey. Way beyond my wildest dreams. pic.twitter.com/3MLCUtmd6K

It’s the end of an era in San Antonio. He was the last remaining member of the Spurs big three with Tim Duncan retiring in 2016 and Tony Parker signing with the Hornets as a free agent this off-season.
