This was arguably his first indisputable knockout since Ricky Hatton in 2007.
Mayweather reportedly made $9 million and looked to clearly be the more imposing fighter during the exhibition match, analysts and critics were quick to point out how Mayweather was fighting at a much heavier weight.
His old nemesis Manny took a shot at Floyd:
“Here is an early New Year’s resolution,” Pacquiao wrote on Twitter, “To continue to only fight experienced opponents who are my size or bigger.”
Throughout his career, Mayweather has fought at a number of different weight classes (super featherweight through light middleweight), while in professional boxing Nasukawa would be listed as a featherweight.
Mayweather was upwards of 20 pounds heavier than Nasukawa during the exhibition match.
There is still speculation that Mayweather could be interested in coming out of retirement for the winner of Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner on January 19th.
Boxing could use another Manny Mayweather fight.
