Manny Machado finally hit his first home run as a member of the Padres.  The third baseman’s two run shot extended San Diego’s lead to 4-1.

It’s Manny’s first of what fans hope are many for their new $300 million man in a Padres uniform.  They would probably like a few more wins to go along with his homers.

The Padres picked up the win on Wednesday afternoon, but are only 4-3 on the young season.  They still have a long way to go and are going to need a few of their young guys to step up if they hope to compete for a playoff spot.
