According to Rich Eisen, Major League Baseball is throwing around an idea to make baseball more entertaining. The way they would do that is to let managers send up whoever they want in the 9th inning no matter where they are in the lineup.
Nothing major, just forever change the game of baseball. As if the pace of play rules weren’t bad enough.
If these types of changes to the game are being considered, it might be time for a new commissioner. Add avocado to the game if you want to attract more millennials, don’t change the way the game is played.
One #MLB executive told @richeisen about an idea to improve excitement in the game by allowing managers to put anyone up to bat in the 9th inning if trailing. Good idea or crazy? pic.twitter.com/IgM6Zrofer
