The UFC 224 middleweight bout between Brazilian MMA legends Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort ended in a knockout.
The fight opened up the main card and ended in the second round after a devastating front kick by Machida landed on Belfort’s chin.
There was no need for a finishing blow so Machida looked on and admired his work for a moment before bowing and paying his respects.

The front kick isn’t one you often see used inside the Octagon, but when it is and it lands cleanly the results speak for themselves.
After the fight Machida said he wanted to fight a few more times this year and would like a shot at Michael Bisping next. As for Belfort, he retired.
"Everything in life has a beginning, middle and end…"

If you kick a man’s head off of his neck, and force him into retirement, I think it’s only fair that you get to pick your next opponent.
