Los Angeles Lakers player-turned-head coach Luke Walton is doubling down on Manhattan Beach, CA, buying a second home there, celebrity gossip site Yolanda’s Little Black Book reports.
Luke Walton, 38, reportedly bought the eight-bedroom, eight-bath house last year from John Macaluso, the former head of the popular comic book convention organizer Wizard World. He negotiated a superhero-sized deal, shaving $300,000 off Macaluso’s asking price—reportedly buying the house for $7.2 million.
Walton grew up in Southern California and was the Lakers’ second-round draft pick in 2003. He played with the Lakers until 2012, alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, Metta World Peace, and Pau Gasol. He should feel right at home.
