Luke Walton lasted just one season as the head coach of LeBron James before being fired on Friday by the Lakers. But he won’t remain unemployed for very long. The Sacramento Kings and GM Vlade Divac are want Walton to fill their head coaching vacancy.
As expected, source tells @TheAthletic that Kings GM Vlade Divac will now reach out to Luke Walton to schedule an interview now that his Lakers days are done. As I reported yesterday, Walton is Divac's first choice for this job.

The expectations in Sacramento are extremely low. If Walton takes the job he’ll get to coach another bad team in California.
The Kings have been a bad team for a very long time. They haven’t had a winning season since 2005-06. But the best part of the gig is the Kings don’t have an aging superstar calling all of the shots, including who will coach the team.
