That’s one way to calm your nerves. Nanna Koerstz Madsen fired a 5-under 66 Saturday at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open. Koerstz Madsen made five birdies and an eagle during her round.

“Well, if I get nervous or too angry or something, it just takes my mind off that stuff,” she said. “I just bite a lemon.”
Nanna Koerstz Madsen, who just shot a 66 in the third round of the US women’s Open, sucks on lemon wedges to calm her nerves / temper during rounds. Yes, seriously. here’s her caddie with them after the round (she didn’t have to use them today) pic.twitter.com/nfOtxoMgYc

The “lemon thing” is an idea of her psychologist, who recommended it to her to help calm herself when she’s too hyped up.
