Louisville starting pitcher Luke Smith was rolling on Friday night against Vanderbilt. He struckout 10 batters and only allowed one run through 8 innings.
After striking out his 10th batter to end the top of the 8th, Smith dropped a couple of F bombs on the batter and mixed it up with the Vandy bench. That would prove to be a mistake.
This sparked the Vandy comeback that sent Louisville home.. 😂pic.twitter.com/xR8jLtPykN

Smith walked a batter and gave up an RBI double to tie the game in the 9th. He was removed after giving up the double. Vandy would add another run and close out the bottom of the 9th to win the game 3-2.
It turns out acting like an ass doesn’t always pay off. Louisville goes home and Vanderbilt will face Michigan in the College World Series finals.
