Things could have gone very different late Thursday night at TD Garden.
The end result was a 141-133 win for the Boston Celtics over the Los Angeles Clippers in double overtime.
However, a controversial foul call in the first overtime period ultimately had an impact on the game.
With just under 25 seconds to play and the Clippers down 127-124, Marcus Morris tossed an inbounds pass to Lou Williams in the corner.

Williams was closely marked by Gordon Hayward, but ended up getting a shot off, with Hayward fouling him. Williams knocked down the shot, and the official on the baseline called a shooting foul on Hayward, which would have given the Clippers a chance to go ahead on a 4-point play.
Lou Williams got very upset, and gave the referee an earful after a foul call he didn’t like.
Lou Williams really wanted to fight the referee, but punked him out instead.
