Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell has yet to sign his franchise tag and report to his team. His agent went on NFL Live this afternoon and based on what he said it doesn’t look like Bell will be on the field Week 1.
That sounds like the Bell camp is preparing to drag this out as long as necessary. It increasing looks like Bell would rather be traded than play another year under the franchise tag.
Bell could continue the holdout well into the season to reduce the wear on his body as he prepares for free agency following the season.
49ers fans on Twitter are begging the front office to attempt to trade for the NFL’s top running back. If any team can pull off a trade for Bell it would be a game changer.

49ers gotta give the Steelers a call about Leveon Bell. Opt of of McKinnon’s contract this upcoming offseason and lock up Bell for the next 4 years. Hard to imagine anyone is willing to give much for Bell since he already has 1 foot out the door. 4th round max
