The Pittsburgh Steelers and running back Le’Veon Bell were unable to reach a long-term deal. He took to Twitter to let the fans know that the two sides worked hard to get a deal done, but were unable to do so.
Bell said he always wanted to retire a Steeler and vows that, despite not getting a long-term deal, this season will be his best one to date.
to all my Steeler fans, my desire always has been to retire a Steeler…both sides worked extremely hard today to make that happen, but the NFL is a hard business at times…to the fans that had hope, I’m sorry we let youu down but trust me, 2018 will be my best season to date…

It looks like the best running back in the league will be a free agent after the season. Not locking Bell up long-term will probably end up hurting both parties.
