Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that people involved in the situation “guess” Bell will end his standoff Saturday:
As the world waits for #Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell, there is no indication when he'll show up. A Saturday arrival would allow him to receive his game check, but there is no clear evidence that he's made plans to do that. pic.twitter.com/1ohfkRMgjJ

Bell is not currently under contract and has no obligation to show up until he signs his franchise tender, which would pay him $14.45 million in 2018.
If he at the very least reports on Saturday, he’ll be able to collect $825,000. That’s what this is all about, money.
His head coach Mike Tomlin, is not into speculating.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he’s not speculating over why Le’Veon Bell is not here: “We’re not riding that wave.” pic.twitter.com/uZtdBqHxsv

He can also show up in week 10 and still get his year salary, so there’s that. A Smart man may just come week 10, still get paid for a full season with with less wear and tear on his body. Let’s see how it plays out.
