Le'Veon Bell a no-show before Steelers opener

Le’Veon Bell was a no-show Saturday as the Pittsburgh Steelers boarded their buses to Cleveland for their season opener.

Proponents of LeVeon Bell's holdout – there are stunningly many – show me a financial projection where the EV of missed time is worth the nearly $1 million per week he's sacrificing. Until then, I will remain convinced LeVeon needs to fire his attention-hungry agent immediately.

In the middle of a prolonged contract dispute, the running back did not show up to the Steelers facility in time to join the team for their Week 1 trip to play the Browns, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

The #Steelers buses are on the road to Cleveland and RB Le’Veon Bell is not on them, I’m told. Bell will leave a $855K game check on the table and the wait is on. James Conner is their starter until Bell is back.

As a result, Bell will sacrifice a $855,000 game check.

It’s starting to look like Bell will not report to the team until Week 10, the deadline to report if the 26-year-old wishes to accrue a season toward free agency. Fantasy owners must be sick right about now.
