LeBron James is a different kind of human. He can sustain 15 years of the NBA, and not blink an eye. What’s his secret? Well, it’s a number of things, but the first thing is, he spends a ton of money to keep his body and mind in tip top shape.
According to Maverick Carter, anyone can maintain this level of health for 15 years as long as they are willing to spend $1.5 million a year on their body like James does.
Mav Carter says LeBron James spends ~$1,500,000 per year on his body. He uses cryotherapy, hyperbaric chambers, NormaTec leg boots, etc. He also has personal chefs, trainers, etc. He has a strict routine and diet. He invested in his body, so he can still dominate at 33 years old.

This is due to his use of cryotherapy, hyperbaric chambers, and NormaTec leg boots. Sure he’s had injuries, but nothing too extensive. Some think LeBron heals because of PED’s, but there’s never been any link to him cheating, merely speculation.
It’s clear what stats stands out for me, and that’s games missed. Check out this graphic below showing just exactly how many games LeBron has missed in 15 seasons. That’s impressive.
LeBron will never be Jordan, that’s a fact. However he will go down as one of the greatest of all time, and one of the most durable. I can’t blame LeBron for spending that much dough, it’s all relative, and we know it pays off very well at the end of the day. Check out the video below of what a hyperbaric chamber actually does to the body.
