LeBron James’ attempt to trademark “Taco Tuesday” has failed.  Much like Ohio State’s attempt to trademark the word “The,” the phrase was found to be a commonplace message and therefore can’t be protected with a trademark.

It’s incredible to think that LeBron would even attempt this.  How does one try to trademark something they didn’t create.  Maybe he should try to trademark “Thirty Thursday” or “Kids Eat Free on Saturday” instead.

Why stop at “Taco Tuesday” when there are so many other phrases used at restaurants out there?
