Good pals LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony were spotted out grabbing dinner together this week in NYC as rumors of Anthony joining the Lakers reached an all time high yesterday.
Check out the pics below:
Speaking after the Lakers’ 115-110 loss to the Nets on Tuesday, James expressed a desire that he has expressed in the past, but never when it was so easy to acquire Anthony.
“We’ll see. I don’t run the team, and obviously there are some things that need to be worked on on both sides,” James told reporters, in video from the Orange County Register. “But I’ve always wanted to play along with Melo, and if the opportunity presents itself, it’d be great. So we’ll see what happens.”
Last month in Orlando, LeBron said it wasn’t a question for him if Carmelo Anthony should join the Lakers. Tonight, he said he would love if the opportunity presents itself, and “obviously there’s some things that need to be worked out on both sides.” pic.twitter.com/jXyetKRauj

“I have no idea, to be honest,” James told reporters. “That’s not a question to ask me. Right now we have 15 roster spots, right? We don’t even have a roster spot open right now. But that’s not a question for myself.”
We know this is inevitable.
