Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, who was Kobe Bryant’s former agent and best friend, spoke during Monday’s memorial. He shared that he and Kobe had exchanged text messages minutes before the helicopter the Lakers legend was on crashed.
Pelinka revealed the content of what might be the last text messages Kobe ever sent. He said that Kobe was trying to secure a baseball agency internship for the daughter of a friend.

The daughger of the friend was Lexi Altobelli. Her father, mother and sister were all on the helicopter with Kobe on that ill-fated morning.
