Kawhi Leonard’s decision to not only sign with the Clippers, but bring Paul George from the Thunder with him was a surprising one. All signs prior to his announcement seemed to indicate he was going to sign with the Lakers.
The Raptors even believed they had a shot at re-signing Kawhi to make another run at a title. He instead picked the Clippers and left both the Lakers and the Raptors disappointed.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, both teams feel like they “got played.”
